Three people have been arrested for falsely reporting the presence of a bomb at three railway stations in Mumbai, including the bungalow of legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan.

According to an NDTV report, an official said that three people were arrested for making hoax calls claiming to have planted bombs at three railway stations in Mumbai, including the residence of actor Amitabh Bachchan.

According to Indian police, a search operation was going on for several hours to find the bomb after receiving a phone call.

A police spokesman said no suspicious material was found in any of the four locations.

According to the police official, our control room received a call at 9:45 pm on Friday (August 6).

He said the caller had claimed that bombs had been planted at Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow in Joho, including Mumbai’s Byculla, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (CSMT), and Dadar railway stations.

According to the official, teams of Railway Police, Railway Protection Force, and Bomb Disposal Squad launched a search after the suspicious phone call and local police personnel arrived at the spot with sniffer dogs. It turned out that the report was false.

Police have beefed up security around actor Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow and are searching for the man who gave the false information.

Tracing the number revealed that the caller was a truck driver and two other men were with him.

It is suspected that the three were drinking when the fake call was made.

According to the Indian Express, senior inspector Shashi Kant Mane said, “We searched all four bungalows of Amitabh Bachchan from outside to see if there was anything wrong.”

According to the police, after finding nothing suspicious, the police called it a fake phone call.

Police later arrested the three men involved in the phone call, who confessed during the interrogation that they had done so under the influence of alcohol.
