KARACHI: Civil aviation authorities have decided to adopt a British-style examination system to curb irregularities in the issuance of pilot licenses.
According to the details, significant progress has been made in preventing irregularities in the issuance of pilot licenses. Aviation authorities have decided to install a British system for which a summary has been decided to be submitted to the federal cabinet.
Sources said that the British Civil Aviation had offered to install the modern system in a month, after which the licenses of Pakistani pilots would be accepted all over the world.
According to sources, under the installation of a British-style examination system, subjects and questions will also be world-class and the new system will also help in removing the reservations of the International Aviation Organization.
Aviation sources said that the biometric system of the candidates will be linked to NADRA.
It may be recalled that in a letter to third country operators, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) took the position that 40% of the licenses of Pakistani pilots were fake.
