KARACHI: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has decided to change the Aviation Policy 2019 to review the aviation policy on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to the details, the responsibility of revising the Aviation Policy 2019 has been assigned to the Director of Air Transport by the Civil Aviation Authority. Sources said that on the directive of the Prime Minister, the Aviation Authority has decided to change the policy.

Sources said that the Prime Minister had directed the CAA to reconsider its aviation policy, adding that the new policy would boost the aviation industry and facilitate airlines.

According to sources, the change in aviation policy will further boost tourism by adding more airlines.

The Director-General Civil Aviation Policy will be reviewed and a full report will be sent to the Secretary Aviation, after which the Aviation Policy 2021 will be submitted to Prime Minister Imran Khan for approval.
