ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister has set up the first Special Technology Zones Authority to take Pakistan forward in the field of technology.
According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan has set up the first Technology Zones Authority to take Pakistanis forward in the field of technology, with Amir Ahmed Hashmi as its first chairman. However, the Board of Governors of the Authority will be headed by the Prime Minister himself.
The Prime Minister chaired the first meeting of the Technology Zones Authority which approved the laying of a network of technology zones across the country. The Prime Minister will inaugurate a technology park in Islamabad today.
Amir Hashmi said that the country’s IT exports have set a target to reach 15 billion dollars, big IT companies will be brought to Pakistan, IT companies have been approved for ten years tax exemption.
Amir Ahmed Hashmi further said that mini tech cities would be set up across the country, adding that the vision of the Prime Minister was to move Pakistan forward in the field of technology.
