ISLAMABAD: CDWP has approved four projects worth Rs 25 billion.

According to details, a meeting was held in Islamabad on Monday under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Muhammad Jahanzeb. Senior officials from federal ministries and divisions attended, while representatives from provincial governments attended via video conference.

Plans related to health, transport, and communication were presented in the meeting, Khyber Institute of Children’s Health and Children’s Hospital plan was approved worth Rs. 7.99 billion.

In KP, a DHQ hospital project of Rs 3.34 billion was approved to deal with epidemic diseases, while a project of Rs 5.62 billion to a 200-bed maternity hospital and nursing college was approved in Bahawalnagar.

It was informed in the meeting that the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has sent two projects worth Rs 43.3 billion to ECNEC for final approval.

A plan of Rs 11.81 billion has been sent for the procurement of 600 flat container bogies and wagons. A plan of Rs 32 billion for the construction of 168 km Hoshab and Awaran M8 projects has also been sent.

The Sohawa Chakwal Road two-lane project worth Rs 7.98 billion was also approved, while the CDWP also approved three concept clearance projects.
