Both the PML-N members said that “these resignations are fake”

ISLAMABAD: The matter took a serious turn after two PML-N MLAs refused to resign, the Speaker National Assembly hinted at conducting an audit of the resignations.

Talking to the media in this regard, Asad Qaiser, Speaker National Assembly, said that the PML-N members refused and told me that these resignations were not ours. ۔

Talking to media in Islamabad, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser said that two members of PML-N Assembly called on him today.

He told the media that both the members denied the resignations and said that these resignations were not ours. Both the members said that these resignations were fake, therefore they should not be accepted.

The Speaker of the National Assembly hinted at conducting an audit of both the resignations and said that he would give his opinion on the resignations of both the members of the Assembly tomorrow.

Asked by a journalist whether a forensic audit of the resignations of the MLAs would be conducted, Asad Qaiser said that a final decision would be taken tomorrow after reviewing the legal aspects of the matter.

On the question of what action will be taken if more resignations of opposition members come? Speaker Said Qaiser replied that every case would be decided in accordance with the law.

It should be noted that the 2 MNA speakers who resigned from the opposition party PML-N in the National Assembly withdrew before the National Assembly, saying that our resignations should not be accepted.

PML-N members Sajjad Awan and Murtaza Javed Abbasi submitted a written request to Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser in this regard.
