ISLAMABAD: The appointment of PTI leader Naeem Bukhari as chairman of state TV has been challenged.

According to details, a petition was heard in the Islamabad High Court against the appointment of Naeem Bukhari as chairman of state TV. The hearing was conducted by the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court Athar Minallah.

During the hearing, Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked in the case of the appointment of Naeem Bukhari as chairman PTV that the appointment of Naeem Bukhari is against the decision of the Supreme Court. Who lent the age to Naeem Bukhari?

On this occasion, lawyer Naeem Bukhari told the court that the Cabinet Division has given age exemption, to which Chief Justice Athar Minallah said that after the decision of the Supreme Court, the Cabinet Division cannot give age exemption. The case should be decided in light of the decision of the Supreme Court.

The court directed to satisfy the court on the appointment of Naeem Bukhari in the next hearing, after which further hearing of the case was adjourned till January 14.

It may be recalled that after the approval of the Federal Cabinet on November 23 last year, Naeem Bukhari was appointed as the Chairman PTV. Naeem Bukhari has been appointed as the Chairman PTV for three years.
