Karachi: The last hope for lifting the ban on PIA for Europe and the United Kingdom has also vanished, EASA has refused to allow flights to PIA.

According to the details, the European Union Air Safety Agency (EASA) has responded to PIA’s letter. EASA has denied permission to PIA to fly without a CAA safety audit. Interim permission for flights was sought.

The PIA administration confirmed that it had received a response from the European Union Air Safety Agency (EASA). In the letter, the CEO had requested an independent audit by disconnecting PIA from civil aviation. PIA had requested that PIA be granted interim permission until it cleared the audit from C, PIA had written a letter from a European agency after being satisfied with PIA’s audit. After the denial, the last hope for lifting the ban on PIA for Europe and the United Kingdom has vanished. The ban on PIA flights for Europe and the United Kingdom will remain in place.

On the other hand, aviation sources said that the European Agency wants civil aviation reforms on the issue of pilot licenses, but the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority’s affairs are not likely to be rectified soon.

It should be noted that PIA is facing a financial deficit of more than Rs 9 billion per month due to the closure of flights to Europe and the UK.
