KARACHI: A court has canceled the bail of a policeman while hearing a case of kidnapping and murder of a student in an alleged fake police encounter.
According to details, a case related to the murder and kidnapping of a student in an alleged fake police encounter was heard in the Model Criminal Trial Court. During the hearing, the accused policeman tried to escape from the court premises which was foiled and the policeman was arrested.
During the hearing, the court canceled the interim bail of the policeman and ordered to send the accused Namos Khan to jail.
The court asked where the policeman stayed for 9 years if he was not guilty. “You don’t know what the police were responsible for,” the court said angrily.
During the hearing, the court remarked that absconding from the case was tantamount to being guilty, the accused did not deserve any concession and therefore bail was denied.
The prosecutor said that the accused was posted in Ferozeabad police station while the operation was carried out in Manzoor Kalobani. Police said that the case against the accused was registered in Baloch Colony police station in January 2011.
