QUETTA: Customs foiled smuggling of mobile phones worth crores of rupees in Gwadar, Balochistan.

According to details, Gwadar Customs recovered mobile phones and tablets worth crores of rupees from a truck heading from Quetta to Karachi at Koda Khera check post.

According to customs officials, the suspects had hidden 976 mobile phones and tablets in a truck traveling from Quetta to Karachi.

Officials say the mobile phones, valued at Rs. 13 million, were a unique way of concealing mobile phones and tablets, which were exposed after classified information.

Chief Collector Customs Balochistan said that the truck used in smuggling was seized.

It may be recalled that in October this year, Customs Gwadar also raided a truck in Vandar and recovered 176 kg of heroin. The Collector said that the value of heroin exported was more than Rs 1.6 billion.
