ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has said that justice will be done in Osama murder case, timely action has been taken, case has been registered and accused have been arrested.
According to details, a meeting of the Senate Committee on Home Affairs was held in which Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that justice would be done in the Osama murder case, timely action was taken, the case was registered and the accused were arrested while Rawalpindi and Islamabad are also on high alert.
Rehman Malik said that foreign hands were involved in the Balochistan incident and a joint meeting was needed regarding foreign intervention.
The meeting discussed the Criminal Latter Amendment Bill 2020. Senator Shehzad Waseem said that incidents will continue in the rape case till the conviction, forensic evidence is important, police training is also needed, the identity of the rape victim should not be revealed. ۔
Senator Rana Maqbool said that Shehzad DNA test should be used as basic evidence, such cases should be investigated under the supervision of a senior police officer, on which the Home Ministry said that opinion has been sought from the provinces, as soon as the opinion comes.
Senator Javed Abbasi said that we are talking about quick and cheap justice. Look at this bill, the ministry has not given its opinion yet, on which the law ministry said that the interior ministry has issued an ordinance regarding rape cases.
Javed Abbasi further said that the rape case should be tried in the High Court as it is not a part of this ordinance while Rehman Malik said that the punishment of liars in such cases should also be reviewed.
