ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister has assured all possible cooperation for the promotion of the leather industry, saying that the government would extend all possible cooperation to run the leather industry at full capacity.
According to the details, a delegation of Pakistan Tanners Association called on Prime Minister Imran Khan today, in which the Prime Minister was apprised of the growing demand for Pakistani leather in the world.
The meeting was attended by Federal Minister Hamad Azhar, Trade Adviser Abdul Razzaq Dawood, and others. The Prime Minister was told in the briefing that Pakistani leather is popular all over the world. Billions of dollars can be earned by exporting popular Pakistani leather brands.
It was informed in the briefing that sheep, goats, cows, and buffalo hides are produced in Pakistan in high quality and in large quantities.
The Prime Minister told the delegation that industries that are a source of value-added exports would be promoted and the government would extend all possible cooperation to run the leather industry at full capacity.
