ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood has said that the decision regarding examinations is to be taken by the universities.

According to details, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood in his message on social networking site Twitter on the protest of students for online exams said that some university students are protesting for online exams, the decision regarding the exams is to be taken by the universities. The HEC has been asked to contact the Vice-Chancellors of the Universities. The VCs must see If possible, take online exams this year under certain circumstances.

Shafqat Mahmood said that the universities have to see whether they have the ability to take exams or not, to ensure that online exams are not misused for grading, it is important to prepare good questionnaires.

It is believed that thousands of students in the country are demanding online exams and there is a general protest. Students say that if the demands for online exams are not met, protests will continue.
