ISLAMABAD: The High Court has remarked at the request of private university students for online examinations that the matter belongs to the HEC and the court cannot do anything about it.
According to details, the petition of private university students for online examinations was heard in the Islamabad High Court. Advocates Qazi Rashid and Ammar Sati appeared in the court on behalf of the private university students union.
Petitioner’s counsel said that the court should order the university administration to conduct online examinations due to Covid and restrain the university from taking action against the students till the final decision.
Justice Babar Sattar said that your relevant forum is HEC, why it was not given there, this is a matter of HEC, the court cannot do anything about it.
Justice Babar Sattar of Salamabad High Court disposed of the petition of private university students after arguments.
It may be recalled that students protesting for online exams in Lahore and Faisalabad in Punjab had turned violent and angry protesters had set fire to the entrance of the university.
