LAHORE: Arrested Leader of Opposition National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif has fallen ill and has been shifted to hospital.

According to sources, PML-N President and Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif has been shifted to a private hospital in Lahore due to ill health, where he is undergoing necessary tests.

Sources said that Shahbaz Sharif has been shifted to hospital for PET scan.

It is to be noted that the Punjab Health Department has constituted a medical board of six government doctors for the opposition leader Mian Shahbaz Sharif. The board may also seek the opinion of three of his doctors at the request of Shahbaz Sharif.

Punjab Institute of Neurosciences Professor Khalid Mehmood is the Convener. The Medical Board consists of Prof. Saeed Ahmed, Prof. Saima Amir and Prof. Rana Dil Awaiz, Prof. Khadija, and Dr. Abbas Khokhar. And submit its report to the Department of Health.

It may be recalled that Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, and his son, Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly are currently under arrest in the Excess Assets case.
