Opposition numbers game complete, government can only win by horse-trading: PDM three leaders agree
Before the election of the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Senate, three major PDM activists became active. Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of the Pakistan Democratic Movement, made separate telephone calls to former President Asif Ali Zardari and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The candidates for the Senate election and preparations for the long march were discussed.
According to details, former President Asif Ali Zardari and PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman discussed in a telephone conversation the efforts to ensure the success of PDM candidates for chairman and deputy chairman of the Senate. The former president said that PDM has a clear lead over the government in the Senate. He is hopeful for the success of Yousuf Raza Gilani and Abdul Ghafoor Haideri.
According to sources, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Nawaz Sharif were also contacted. Nawaz Sharif said that preparations for the long march should be intensified immediately after the election of chairman and deputy chairman. Our aim is not to send incompetent rulers home. Fazlur Rehman said that in the election of chairman and deputy chairman, the government did horse-trading and if it broke our members, all of them would be brought before the people.
In a telephone conversation, the three PDM leaders agreed that the numbers game was in our favor and the government could only win by horse-trading. The PDM aims to eliminate incompetent rulers.
