RAWALPINDI: A Pakistan Army spokesman said that a helicopter used by Pakistan Army near the Mani Marg area crashed due to a technical fault.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), a Pakistan Army helicopter crashed in the Mani Marg area of Gilgit-Baltistan due to a malfunction.
According to ISPR, the helicopter crash occurred while transporting the body of martyred soldier Abdul Qadir to Khaki Skardu.
According to the public relations department, pilot Major Muhammad Hussain, co-pilot Major Ayaz Hussain, Naik Inzamam Alam, and soldier Muhammad Farooq were martyred in the accident.
According to ISPR, the pilot Major Ayaz Hussain belonged to the Khablu area of Skardu while he was residing in the Malir area of Karachi.
A Pakistan Army spokesman said Naik Inzamam Alam was a resident of Chakwal district in Punjab and soldier Farooq was a resident of Sahiwal in Punjab.
