ISLAMABAD: UNICEF has provided free containers for storage of the Pfizer Corona vaccine to Pakistan. Vaccine storage containers will reach Pakistan by mid-March. The containers will be placed in 15 cities most affected by Corona.

According to the details, Pakistan has arranged the latest vaccine storage containers. Sources said that UNICEF has provided vaccine storage containers to Pakistan and modern storage containers have been provided by UNICEF free of cost.

Sources in the Ministry of Health said that the Asian Development Bank has provided a support grant to UNICEF for vaccine containers. The vaccine storage containers will reach Pakistan by mid-March and Pfizer’s Corona vaccine will be stored in modern containers.

Sources said that the containers will be stored at a temperature below minus 70 degrees Celsius. The Pakistani vaccine cold chain system has storage at minus 20 degrees. The latest vaccine storage containers will be kept in the federal and provincial provinces.

According to the Ministry of Health, the vaccine containers will be placed in 15 cities most affected by Corona. Pfizer Corona vaccine is likely to arrive in Pakistan in the next three months.

Sources said that COVAX will provide millions of doses of the Pfizer Corona vaccine to Pakistan. Pakistan is bound to take the Pfizer Corona vaccine as a member of the vaccine.
