Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that Pakistan has developed an electronic voting machine, through which voters will be able to cast their vote by clicking on any symbol.
Giving a briefing on the voting machine, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that the electronic voting machine has been divided into two parts.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the voter will be able to cast his vote by clicking on any symbol through the machine, an electronic vote will be cast by clicking on the election symbol, the ballot paper will also be printed along with the vote from the machine.
The Federal Minister said that it can also be used for ballot paper proof casting, the machine is going to be shared with NADRA, NUST, and COMSATS.
He said that the Ministry of Science and National Institute of Electronics has done a great job, more work on electronic voting machine is in progress and it is in the final stages.
Fawad Chaudhry said that it is very important to deal with what happened in Daska and other places, elections will be peaceful with an electronic voting machine, and you will get rid of rigging.
