KARACHI: Pakistan Navy Chief Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi paid an official visit to Saudi Arabia on the occasion of which he met top military officials and called for further strengthening of bilateral ties.
According to details, the Pakistan Navy spokesman said that Naval Chief Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi also met with Saudi Arabia’s Chief of General Staff and Commander Royal Saudi Naval Forces. Commander Royal Saudi Naval Forces Vice Admiral Fahd bin Abdullah gave a warm welcome to the Naval Chief.
The Chief of Naval Staff was presented Guard of Honor on his arrival at the Royal Saudi Naval Forces Headquarters.
The Admiral was briefed on the Royal Saudi Naval Forces and operations, the spokesman said, adding that the Naval Chief also visited the Royal Saudi Naval Forces Command and Control Center. Issues of mutual interest and promotion of maritime cooperation were discussed in important meetings. The meetings praised the increase in the capacity of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces.
The role of the Pakistan Navy in military training was also appreciated in the meetings.
According to the Pakistan Navy spokesman, the Saudi officials appreciated the fraternal relations between the two countries and appreciated the steps taken by the Pakistan Navy for peace and stability in the region.
The Naval Chief’s visit will further enhance relations between the navies and bring positive results in the future.
