LAHORE: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islami Pakistan (JUI-F) chief and Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has said that the parties in the PDM will contest the by-elections.
Talking to media after the PDM presidential meeting held at Nawaz Sharif’s residence, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that it was decided at the PDM meeting that all parties would contest the by-elections.
He said that the decision to participate in the Senate elections has not been made yet, we will see it later, the government is being given a month’s respite, if he does not resign, there will be a long march, after 31 January, the long march and The date will be decided.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the PDM meeting was held in a very cordial atmosphere in which various issues were discussed and all the parties openly expressed their views.
He said that the news of differences in the PDM has died down, today the PDM is strong, all the resignations have reached the party leadership. Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that a protest would be staged in front of the Election Commission and NAB Islamabad office on January 19. The chain of revenge should be stopped as it is being used for money.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the NAB was set up only against the opposition. Yesterday Muhammad Ali Durrani came for a meeting without any program and made it clear to him that national dialogue is out of the question.
