Dubai: Former President and Chief of Army Staff General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s mother Zarin Musharraf has died at the age of 100.

According to the details, Zareen Musharraf was staying in Dubai with her son, who had been unwell for the past several days due to old age. Zarin Musharraf will be buried in Dubai.

Secretary-General of All Pakistan Muslim League Mehreen Malik expressed sorrow over the demise of Pervez Musharraf’s mother and termed her demise as a great loss for Pakistan.

Who was Pervez Musharraf’s mother?

Pervez Musharraf’s mother was born in 1920 in Lucknow, India. She completed her primary education there and later enrolled at Delhi University for further studies, from which she graduated with a degree in English Literature.

Zarrin Musharraf was married at an early age. Her father worked as an accountant in the Foreign Office during the British Indian rule.

After the marriage, Zarin Musharraf gave birth to three sons, the eldest of whom is Javed Musharraf settled in Egypt, the second by Pervez Musharraf, and the third by Naveed Musharraf who is based in the United States.
