PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has prepared a plan to build a world-class cricket stadium in Kalam Tehsil of Swat. The project of Kalam Cricket Stadium will be completed at a cost of Rs 358 million.

According to details, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has taken an important step to promote sports activities in the province by preparing a plan to build a world-class cricket stadium in Kalam Tehsil, Swat.

The Chief Minister has approved the proposed design of the stadium. The project of Kalam Cricket Stadium covering an area of ​​120 kanal will be completed at a cost of Rs. 358 million.

The document states that the construction of the stadium will be completed in two years and the stadium will have a seating capacity of 6,000 spectators at a time.

It may be recalled that last month Malik Amin Aslam had announced to build 10 new cricket grounds in his constituency Attock District and inaugurated a cricket ground in Chichian area of ​​Hazro Tehsil. The PTI government is trying to promote sports in the country.

It should be noted that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had also taken a big step a year ago and approved projects worth Rs 400 million. Under the plan, more than Rs 120 million would be spent on 15 polo grounds in Chitral and sports in Mardan. 2 crores was approved on the feasibility study of the city.
