Multan: Shah Mehmood Qureshi condemned the attack on the vehicle of UN observers and said that firing on peacekeepers is against diplomatic etiquette.
Expressing these views, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi termed the attack on the vehicle of UN observers as highly suspicious and said that the purpose of the presence of observers was to maintain law and order.
He said that observers keep the headquarters informed about the violation of ceasefire agreements, therefore firing on peacekeepers is against diplomatic etiquette, firing is a serious violation of international law, there should be an immediate investigation.
Shah Mehmood said that Pakistan has been convincing the United Nations that India is violating the ceasefire, India is endangering the lives of innocent citizens by violating the ceasefire.
The Foreign Minister said that India’s move could endanger peace and order in the region, adding that Pakistan wanted peace and order to be maintained in the region.
