Washington: US members of Congress have expressed concern over the release of the accused in the Daniel Pearl murder case, saying they want cooperation to get justice.
According to details, US members of Congress wrote a letter to Pakistani Ambassador Asad Majeed Khan, 7 members of US Congress wrote a letter on the issue of Daniel Pearl.
In the letter, the Congress members expressed concern over the release of the accused in the Daniel Pearl murder case and said that Ahmed Omar Sheikh and his associates were directly involved in the murder and wanted cooperation for justice.
The letter from members of Congress said that the United States and Pakistan are partners in many issues, including trade.
It may be recalled that in the Daniel Pearl murder case, the Supreme Court had ordered the immediate release of Ahmed Omar Sheikh and others from the co-death cell and said that all the detainees in the case should be kept in the common barracks for two days.
Later, the Sindh government decided to transfer Omar Sheikh to the rest house. The family will be able to stay together in the government rest house from 8 am to 5 pm.
