According to sources, an important meeting of PTI MPAs was held at the residence of Firdous Shamim Naqvi yesterday. I have been asked to resign for the second time, I am resigning for the party, I will not come to this seat again. On the other hand, sources said that controversial statements against the federal government on gas shortage and poor performance led to the resignation of opposition leader Sindh Assembly.
Sources also said that the PTI has decided to make changes before the Senate elections in Sindh to give a tough time to the PPP.
On the other hand, the chief organizer of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Saifullah Niazi telephoned Firdous Shamim Naqvi and told him that now he should fulfill the responsibility of focal person of Sindh as the Prime Minister.
PTI leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi was of the view that on the day he made the statement on Sui Gas, he had tendered his resignation with an apology. I am a party worker. My resignation is with the chairman. It is at his discretion to accept it or not.
It may be recalled that the central leadership had demanded the resignation of opposition leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi in the Sindh Assembly yesterday. Sindh Governor Imran Ismail had conveyed the message of Prime Minister Imran Khan to Firdous Shamim Naqvi.
According to sources, Haleem Adil Sheikh is likely to replace opposition leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi as Sindh’s opposition leader.
