This new strain of coronavirus is now causing concern around the world, leading to a significant increase in the rate of spread of the virus in different parts of the UK.

The nature of the virus is changing which is affecting the most important part of the virus, some of these mutations have already been shown in the lab which increases the capacity of the virus by infecting the cells, from all these things. Together they form a virus that can spread easily.

The new British variety, known as VUI 202012/01 or Lineage B117, was first announced on December 14 by British Health Minister Matt Hancock.

It was also confirmed by Public Health England and the UK’s Covid 19 Sequencing Consortium, whose first specimen was found on September 20 in Kent County. There are 14 mutations in this new strain of coronavirus, 7 of which occurred in spike proteins.

It is the same protein that helps the virus enter human cells, and such a large number of mutations are more noticeable than any other type of virus circulating around the world.

Chris White, the UK’s chief medical officer, said there was no evidence that the new strain could change the severity of the disease, but that research was still underway to confirm it.

Most viral mutations generally have no side effects. During the first wave of the coronavirus, thousands of mutations were observed in thousands of genomes, but none significantly changed the virus’s ability to survive and multiply.

But sometimes a mutation or a combination of mutations in this new type gives the virus a new lease of life, giving it a better chance of spreading.
