Chittagong: It cost Bangladesh dearly to declare an innings against the West Indies. The West Indies defeated Bangladesh by 3 wickets in the first Test.

According to the details, West Indies easily achieved the biggest target of 395 runs in the history of cricket in the first Test match against Bangladesh at a loss of 7 wickets.

Kyle Mayers, who played his first Test for the West Indies, played a key role in the team’s victory by scoring an unbeaten innings of 210 runs. Nkrumah Bonner played an innings of 86 runs and gave good support to the Mayers.

In the second innings from Bangladesh, Mehdi Hassan led four wickets to the pavilion, Tejul Islam took two wickets and Naeem Al Hasan took one.

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first, and scored 430 in the first innings while declaring the second innings at 223 for eight.

The West Indies were bowled out for 259 in the first innings and needed 398 runs to win, thanks to an unbeaten double century by Kyle Mayers at a loss of seven wickets.
