PSL 6 Islamabad United wins

Karachi: In the sixth match of PSL 6, Islamabad United defeated Karachi Kings by 5 wickets.

According to the details, in the sixth match of PSL 6, Islamabad United achieved the target of 197 runs given by Karachi Kings at a loss of 5 wickets in the last over. Even Sharjeel Khan’s century could not save Karachi Kings from defeat.


Islamabad United made a brilliant comeback after dropping two wickets for 13 runs. Alex Hales played an aggressive innings of 46 off 21 balls.

Faheem Ashraf remained prominent by scoring 25 runs, captain Shadab Khan and Phil Salt returned to the pavilion without scoring a run, Hussain Talat played an innings of 42 runs.

Iftikhar Ahmed played an unbeaten innings of 49 runs, Asif Ali remained unbeaten on 19 runs.

For Karachi Kings, Muhammad Amir, Imad Wasim, Waqas Maqsood, and Arshad Iqbal took one wicket each.

Earlier, Karachi Kings scored 196 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted overs and gave a target of 197 runs to Islamabad United to win.

Sharjeel Khan played an aggressive innings of 105 off 59 balls, including 8 sixes and 9 fours.

Babar Azam also played a responsible innings of 62 runs, Babar hit 6 fours and a six, Babar Azam was run out by Hassan Ali.

Daniel Christian remained unbeaten on 11 while Muhammad Nabi was dismissed on 7.

The bowlers of Islamabad United missed many sure chances and Babar Azam and Sharjeel Khan got a chance on nine balls.

Islamabad United fast bowler Hassan Ali could take one wicket, no other bowler including Shadab Khan could show significant performance.

Earlier, Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan won the toss and invited the Karachi Kings to bat first.

The winning combination has been maintained in the Karachi Kings team while no change has been made in the Islamabad United team.

Karachi Kings captain Imad Waseem said that the first match was won, the morale of the players is high, they will try to give a big target to Islamabad.

On the other hand, Shadab Khan said that he would try to get the Karachi Kings out on a low score.

It should be noted that Karachi Kings had defeated Quetta Gladiators in the first match while Islamabad United had won against Zalmi.


The Karachi Kings squad includes captain Emad Wasim, Babar Azam, Sharjeel Khan, Colin Ingram, Joe Clarke, Dean Christian, Amir Yameen, Waqas Maqsood, Muhammad Amir, and Arshad Iqbal.
