ISLAMABAD: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has attended a meeting on South Asian Games.
According to the details, a meeting on South Asian Games was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday, in which Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa also participated.
Sources said that the meeting was also attended by Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Fehmida Mirza and other officials. The Prime Minister directed to make arrangements for holding the South Asian Games in Pakistan.
According to sources, the Prime Minister directed to form a steering committee on the South Asian Games. He asked the Prime Minister’s Office and all concerned agencies to extend full cooperation for the organization of the Games.
The Prime Minister said that the security situation in Pakistan is excellent, no country should have any problem in coming and playing in Pakistan, all players and officials will be provided the best security.
The Prime Minister directed that all infrastructure, including grounds, be improved for the South Asian Games, and that the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination makes preparations in this regard.
