The International Cricket Council (ICC) has paid tribute to former Pakistan captain and aggressive batsman Shahid Afridi on his birthday.

The ICC has congratulated Boom Boom Afridi on his 44th birthday on social media.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has congratulated Shahid Afridi on his birthday and said that he had earlier scored a century off 37 balls in his debut match and now holds the record for most sixes in ODIs.

Shahid Afridi has also thanked those who congratulated him on his birthday on social media.

It may be recalled that Shahid Afridi made his ODI debut against Kenya in October 1996 and he last played for Pakistan in March 2015 against Australia.

Shahid Afridi played 398 ODIs for Pakistan in which he hit 351 sixes and scored 8054 runs at an average of 23.57.
