New Delhi: Not only the farmers’ community but also traders and transporters across the country are protesting against the poor policies of the Modi government which has announced a wheel jam strike across the country.
According to a report by a foreign news agency, a complete strike has been observed in India today against the Modi government’s general sales tax (GST) and other measures including rising prices of petrol and diesel.
According to sources, about 40,000 traders’ organizations and transporters across the country had announced their full support for the strike. Markets and public transport were completely closed during this time.
The All India Transporters Welfare Association had appealed to the public to keep all transport and business closed from 6 am to 8 pm. The association had announced a strike over rising petrol and diesel prices.
The wheel jam strike was observed from 6 am to 8 pm on Friday. In such a situation, the effect of this strike on the entire country will be decided today.
