Abu Dhabi: The ban on tourist and desert recreational tours in the United Arab Emirates has been lifted, the Department of Tourism has issued SOPs for tourists.
According to a local website, the UAE-based Tourism and Trade Promotion Agency has revived tourism and desert travel in Sharjah.
According to tourist guides, locals and foreigners are now allowed to create desert tourism programs, but SOPs must be complied with.
The tourism agency says tourists, visitors, employed professionals, locals, and expatriates must abide by health and safety regulations.
The head of the agency, Khalid al-Mudaffa, said that the authorities in Sharjah had lifted the ban on desert and tourist excursions and restored all tourist activities.
He said that everything will be restored gradually. In this regard, the Tourism Development Authority has also issued SOPs Guide.
