Indore: The elevator of a hospital in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh suddenly collapsed when a former chief minister was also inside.

According to details, a lift suddenly fell on former Chief Minister Kamal Nath in the industrial city of Indore in Madhya Pradesh, but his life was spared.

The former chief minister had reached the hospital to take care of a former Congress minister. As soon as he boarded the hospital elevator, the elevator collapsed, but no casualties were reported.

Senior Indore leader and former minister Ram Shankar Patel is undergoing treatment at the DNS hospital due to illness. He was accompanied by former chief minister Kamal Nath, MLA Jaito Patwari, Sajjan Singh Verma, and Vishal Patel.

According to reports, as soon as the former chief minister boarded the elevator with his ministers, the elevator suddenly fell 10 to 12 feet, causing chaos in the hospital.

The management took immediate safety measures and the elevator engineer was called. When the elevator was opened, all the passengers came out safely.

In a statement, the Congress provincial spokesperson slammed the opposition leader and former chief minister Kamal Nath for neglecting security measures and said the matter should be investigated.
