ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in a meeting with Federal Minister Ghulam Sarwar said that as soon as the situation improves, flights for Umrah pilgrims will be started soon.

According to details, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki called on Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan. During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed and further discussions were held between the two countries on aviation. Steps to improve were discussed.

The Federal Minister congratulated the Saudi Ambassador on the resumption of relations between Qatar and Saudi Arabia and welcomed the progress made in the Gulf countries, calling it a boon for prosperity and peace in the region.

Ghulam Sarwar Khan reiterated his commitment to further strengthen the strong and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The meeting also discussed the issue of launching new flights from Pakistan to the city of ABHA (Abha) in Saudi Arabia. The Federal Minister said that two flights a week would be operated for Abha, making it friendly between the two countries. Relations and tourism will increase further.

The Saudi ambassador assured immediate action in this regard and appreciated the steps taken by Pakistan for the coronavirus and said that as soon as the situation improves, flights for Umrah pilgrims will be started soon.

The two prayed for an early eradication of the coronavirus so that Hajj could be performed efficiently this year.
