Muzaffarnagar: Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi has said that Prime Minister Modi is traveling all over the world but has not come to his farmers.
Addressing a gathering in Muzaffarnagar, Priyanka Gandhi asked how far is the Delhi border from the Prime Minister’s residence? He went to Pakistan, went to China, visited the whole world, and came back, but why didn’t he reach the farmers?
Explaining the agricultural laws regarding the farmers’ movement, he said that you know about the three controversial laws that have been enacted by this government.
She said that with the enactment of the first law, public markets would be closed and the opening of private markets would be to the liking of big billionaire investors.
Priyanka Gandhi said that it is written in the second law that there will be contract farming i.e. big billionaires will come to your village and bargain and they will produce crops of their own free will.
“Later, they will have the option to refuse to buy the crop because, under the law, you cannot go to court or fight for your rights,” she said.
