According to the foreign news agency Reuters, the human rights organization Amnesty International has accused the protesters of using war tactics.

A protester who was transporting the bodies to a hospital said on the phone that six people had been killed in a shooting at a demonstration in the central area of ​​Mayang.

A health worker at the hospital also confirmed the deaths of six people. The 31-year-old said, “We were protesting peacefully. I can’t believe they did it.”

According to local media, a man was killed in the North Dagon District of Yangon City, while photos released on Facebook showed the body of a man on the street with a bleeding head.
