Moscow: Russia has set up a new e-visa policy system for issuing electronic visas under which e-visas will be issued to foreign nationals for short stay and single entry.
According to a report by a foreign news agency, the electronic visa was introduced by the Russian authorities in 2017 and was completed in early 2021. However, the launch date has yet to be announced.
According to media reports, the launch date will be announced keeping in view the status of the virus.
Sources said that earlier foreigners coming to Russia on e-visa were allowed to travel to only a few areas of Russia but now foreigners with e-visa will be allowed to travel across the country.
Keep in mind that to apply for an e-visa, applicants will have to pay $40 for their photos, scanned copy of their passport and a fee, after which the visa will be issued in four days which will be valid for the next 60 days.
