WASHINGTON: An American Airlines plane narrowly escaped a horrific crash, during which the plane’s engine caught fire.
According to the report of the foreign news agency, when the Boeing 2000-777 passenger plane of American Airlines took off from Denver airport, an engine caught fire and the parts of the plane kept falling in different areas.
The captain skillfully landed the plane safely back at Denver Airport, with 338 people on board, including the crew, who were fortunately safe.
Airline officials say an investigation has been launched into the cause of the crash.
Footage of debris falling on nearby settlements also surfaced. United Flight 328 left Denver for Honolulu, but the engine caught fire shortly after takeoff.
A passenger made a video of the engine burning from the window of the plane. As soon as the wheels of the plane hit the ground, passengers shouted for joy.
