Armenia Coup attempt

In a speech on social media, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan warned the nation of the military coup attempt, dismissing the armed forces’ chief for trying to overthrow him,  and urged his supporters to take out to the streets.

Russia, meanwhile, has said in response to the situation in Armenia that it is “deeply concerned” about the escalating tensions in Armenia and urges the parties to resolve their differences peacefully.

Turkey has also condemned the military coup attempt.

It should be noted that the Armenian Prime Minister was facing criticism for withdrawing from the war with Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh issue and was being asked to resign.
