Riyadh: The Saudi Human Rights Commission has taken a big step to protect children from online harassment.

According to a report by a foreign news agency, several effective measures have been taken to protect children in the Gulf state of Saudi Arabia, but now the Saudi Human Rights Commission is also taking steps to ensure the online protection of children.

Awad al-Awad, head of the Saudi Human Rights Commission for Online Protection, told a cinema called “Child Protection in the Virtual World” that criminal elements on the Internet try to target children online. I have created a foolproof mechanism to protect children from online harassment.

Expressing satisfaction over the steps taken by the authorities, he said that the state has formulated procedures for the concerned agencies to deal with this menace.
