ANKARA: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has demanded that US President-elect Joe Biden hand over F-35 aircraft to Turkey.

According to foreign media reports, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called on the new US administration to lift its ban by the Trump administration on the supply of F-35 fighter jets to Turkey.

The Turkish president demanded that the new US administration take steps to provide aircraft to Ankara.

He said that Turkey had paid a lot of money for F-35 fighter jets but we were not given these warplanes.

It should be noted that Washington had imposed sanctions on Turkey on December 14 due to the purchase of the Russian-made air defense system S-400, due to which Turkey is facing difficulties in the defense industry.

The United States has also banned Ismail Demir, director of Turkey’s main defense equipment company, and froze his assets.
