Washington: US President Joe Biden has refused to lift US sanctions on Iran.
According to a report by a foreign news agency, US President Joe Biden has said that sanctions will not be lifted to bring Iran to the negotiating table.
The US president said that Iran had stopped the uranium enrichment by proving its responsibility first, adding that Iranian Foreign Minister Jawad Zarif had demanded that the US lift sanctions by February 21.
On the other hand, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has said that Iran will not abide by the nuclear deal until the US lifts sanctions.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the United States would have to lift sanctions on Iran, not in words but in deeds.
Recently, US Secretary of State Anthony Blankenship said that Biden wanted to restore the nuclear deal with Iran, but he rejected pressure from Iran to take the initiative.
